Three PUMA Unimate 200The PUMA 200 is a compact, computer-controlled robot for high speed, close-tolerance assembly, light materials handling, and inspection applications. It has 6 degrees of freedom, it's driven by Electric DC Servos, can achieve a maximun straight line speed of 1.245m/sec and carry up to 1Kg of static load.
Two AMADEUS 7 d.o.f. armsThe AMADEUS research project aimed at the improvement of the dexterity and sensory abilities of underwater manipulation systems, in particulary the study of cooordinated control of two underwater 7 degrees of freedom electro-mechanical arms.
DIST-HandThe DIST-Hand is a 4 fingered mechanism with 16 degrees of freedom with a high degree of dexterity. The main goal pursued during the development of the DIST-Hand has been that of designing a small and lightweight dextrous gripper with anthropomorphic kinematics, which could be easily ported and installed even on small robot manipulators.
Four wheeled vehicles
Tricycle like vehicleThis vehicle has been developed for testing and evaluating algorithms for mobile manipulators. It is equipped with three steering wheels, each capable of supporting a weight of 400Kg. The vehicle is controlled by a low energy consumption PC with Linux/RTAI operative system. It is also equipped with a wireless router in order to receive commands from a remote station.
Stewart Platform for Materials testingThis stewart platform is used to test materials for partial dentures. It has 6 degrees of freedom and the control is based on a force-sensor.
